We have secured a contract with ESA to, within Space Solutions, demonstrate SpaceCloud’s capabilities for a commercial rollout.

“We are now taking the company’s biggest step so far in terms of the rollout of SpaceCloud services and paving the way for the entire industry with the rollout of cloud services in space, just the same way everyone is used to cloud services on earth. We are very pleased that ESA is deepening its support of Unibap and thus the SpaceCloud vision,” says Fredrik Bruhn, PhD who is the Chief Evangelist in digital transformation at Unibap.

The project will be lead by Unibap’s Mattias Herlitz who is looking forward to the coming work.
“We are happy for ESA’s continued support in developing SpaceCloud so that we can offer services for on-orbit, high performance computation to the broader market.

SpaceCloud will increase access to satellite data for several use cases, including precision agriculture, environmental detection and protection, and crisis management.”

The project is implemented from May 2021 to May 2022.
