Unibap has welcomed the esteemed decorated researcher Dr. Anders Persson, as a Product Manager. His educational journey began at the Ångström Space Technology Center, where he completed his master’s degree and a dissertation on miniaturized magnetic field sensor technology.

How do you feel about your new position at Unibap?

–I believe this is an exciting opportunity. In my role as Product Manager, I’m tasked with strategically overseeing the product portfolio, realizing the existing strategy, and embedding it within the organization. This includes hardware, software, and services. We need to move forward, evolving beyond our current product offerings. A well-defined vision is in place, and my job is to transform that vision into tangible, actionable initiatives. I have a track record of turning conceptual ideas into real-world products.

Anders points out that it is an exciting period for the company.

-Unibap stands at an interesting juncture, having begun generating revenue from a viable product. Many companies plateau at this point because making a product functional and marketable is a monumental task. However, our aspiration doesn’t end there; we’re eager to expand our horizons with innovative products, hardware, software, and services. Navigating this transformation will be both challenging and exhilarating.

What new perspectives can you bring to Unibap you think?

– Coming from an outsider’s perspective, I have a possibility to view the market objectively. I have a broad understanding of NewSpace, helping me to grasp the company´s position and the further steps that still need to be taken. I think that my background with the knowledge of the journey from idea to innovation and production will be valuable. I’ve always been most intrigued by the application of advanced, deep tech. My entrepreneurial ventures have given me insights into the early phases of this process. I’m eager to witness the concluding phase of establishing a diverse product portfolio at Unibap. I look forward to familiarize myself with the international NewSpace market, and to meet the readers of this newsletter at events in the future.
