The innovative aura in the company and representatives from Unibap that I met made me want to continue here after graduating.

Josefine Nittler

Trainee, Unibap

Hello, Josefine Nittler our new trainee since three weeks, and Søren Pedersen, who has been working at a distance from Denmark since last October!

What are your backgrounds?
Josefine: I am a newly graduated master engineer in physics and entrepreneurship.
Søren: I have a background in electronic and electrical engineering working in the space and defense industry for 10+ years for different companies both in Europe and in the US.

Josefine, tell us, how did you end up here at Unibap?
During my studies I was a member of the board for the association FREJA, in that respect I was looking for exciting tech companies to cooperate with. We visited Unibap and I was immediately interested in writing my master thesis here. The innovative aura in the company and representatives from Unibap that I met made me want to continue here after graduating.

How have you settled in with your work tasks during the first weeks?
According to me: really well! I had a head start considering I did my master thesis here, so I think I’ve settled quickly and already during my first week I received responsibility for my first space project. So fun!, says Josefine.

First time at the office in person for you Søren, is there something you especially appreciate with that?
It is nice to meet people in person after working from home (Denmark) so seeing the office and meeting people has been a joy for me. Building relations that will help me to further support the growth of business and partners at Unibap all comes as a team effort and that team is easier to be a part of when I am in the office.

What would you say is the most exciting thing you’ve succeeded with during your time in Unibap?
Definitely the mission together with Simera Sense that we released two weeks ago. This is going to allow Unibap to further develop the value offered by the iX5 system to users out there and to demonstrate this on a space mission, not just on ground in a simulated environment. Building a full processing chain for Earth Imaging on SpaceCloud and implementing this for use.
