Chief Evangelist, Unibap
SpaceCloud was launched on June 30, 2021 on the D-Orbit’s Wild Ride ION mission along with 87 other satellites on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral.
We are very pleased to announce that the mission has now verified all 22 pre-installed innovative applications demonstrating the commercial benefits of faster access to qualitative information from space.
-We started Unibap with the vision to create the conditions and take a market position in data processing in traditionally challenging but large market segments on earth and in space. I am very happy that the foundation of our vision has now been realized and that we are ready to offer data analysis directly from space. In the coming months, we will conduct more detailed system tests and gradually upload new applications to SpaceCloud. We have now opened up the possibility of charging for time and resource utilization on satellites, says Dr. Fredrik Bruhn, Chief Evangelist and one of Unibap’s founders.
Anders Blomberg, CEO, agrees: -I am extremely proud of our team and our partners who through hard and dedicated work have made this possible. This is a very important milestone for the company that we can now go out with the information that the system is operational in space and fully functional.
